Córdoba is the capital of the province to which it gives its name. It is located at the foot of Sierra Morena and is caressed in its limits by the Guadalquivir river. Officially founded in the year 169 a.C. by the Roman soldier Claudio Marcelo, The long history of Córdoba is marked by having been the capital of the Caliphate of al-Andalus during the 10th century. This makes the city the depository of one of the best samples of Andalusian caliphate art. Nevertheless, Córdoba also hides beautiful Christian churches built on old mosques.

Once we get through it, we will find the Calahorra Tower (3), that will offer us panoramic views of Córdoba and a wax museum that represents the history of the city.
We will travel east, where we will find some churches that can be visited such as the Brotherhood of Descent (4), until reaching the Center for Contemporary Creation of Andalusia (5), a contemporary art museum that adjoins the following Arenal Bridge (6).
At the end of the route, we will retrace our steps, where we can finish the day with the pleasant Calahorra River Walk (7), a walk through the walled area on the banks of the river before returning to the city center.
